Tonto Natural Bridge

Forest Road 300
Accessible from HWY 87 North of Strawberry the Rim Road, FR300 is a twisting gravel road that might be one of the greatest drives in Arizona. Spend 40 miles on this forest road on the edge of the Mogollon Rim. With countless lookouts and hiking trails, the only thing you will run out of is time. Don’t forget your camera!

The course was designed by Frank Hughes/Russell Zakariasen and opened in 1959. The course rating is 66.9 with a slope rating of 114. Payson is a daily fee golf course with an ‘Open to Public’ guest policy.

Get up close and personal with some incredible wildlife at the Out of Africa Wildlife Park. You will hardly believe your eyes when a 600-pound African Lion struts his way past your safari tour vehicle. What started as a hypothesis turned into a beautiful 104-acre nature preservation that allows humans to witness and even interact with exotic animals from around the globe. Be sure to bring your camera, because there are over 400 different animals living on the preserve!

The towns of Pine and Strawberry have a beautiful and rich history. Take a look at the joint town museum and learn about the founding of our town, or go and explore the oldest standing schoolhouse in Arizona. Come and learn how our community became what it is today!
Pine Strawberry Museum
The Pine Strawberry Museum opened in 1979 to display artifacts related to the prehistory and history of Pine and its twin among the pines, Strawberry. Settled in 1879 by Morman pioneers, much of what is displayed in the museum today is in tribute to the dedication and hard work of our founding families.
Strawberry Schoolhouse
The Strawberry Schoolhouse is a historic one-room school building located in northwestern Gila County, Arizona, in the small mountain community of Strawberry. Built of pine logs in 1885, the Strawberry Schoolhouse is reputed to be the “oldest standing schoolhouse in Arizona” and now functions as a fully restored local history museum, complete with a late-19th century classroom exhibit.
Montezuma’s Castle National Monument
This national monument is located in a limestone cliff that recesses roughly 100 feet above the Verde Valley in Camp Verde AZ. These historic dwellings were built and used by the Sinagua people, who lived between 1000 and 1425 A.D.
